CFO - Vice President for Tax and Accounting

We are seeking a professional to fill the role of Vice President for Tax and Accounting and CFO for the firm. This position will manage the tax and accounting staff, develop strong, lasting relationships with clients and manage the overall financial operations of the firm. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both individual, corporate and partnership tax returns, auditing, financial statement preparation and review as well as having demonstrated strong leadership and development skills.

Compensation: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Target Salary: $100,000 - $150,000

Bonus: 10-20% of Base Salary

Qualifications:

  • CPA certification required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required (Master’s preferred)
  • 8-10 years’ experience in public accounting
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
  • In-depth tax knowledge at the local, state and federal levels
  • Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to clients
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Successful completion of background and credit check

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of tax and accounting operations
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement the firm's strategic goals
  • Support the firm's M&A goals by providing deal analysis, due diligence and participating in negotiations
  • Develop staff, recruiting, training and development goals
  • Work closely with management and staff to ensure performance of tax planning, client interaction and special projects
  • Collaborate with staff on income tax preparation and planning
  • Represent clients with IRS, State or other audits
  • Review completed tax forms and provide recommendations to junior members of our team when needed
  • Research and resolve tax and accounting issues affecting our firm
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and exceptional service
